Kidney foundation to host awareness walk

CANFIELD

Eastern Regional Kidney Foundation, serving Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties, will host its third annual Kidney Disease Awareness Walk on Sept. 29 at the Canfield Fairgrounds.

A picnic lunch will follow at The Colonial Inn on the fairgrounds.

Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the walk begins at 10.

Participants can register in advance at www.erkidney.org .

All donations are given as grants to aid patients.

Sponsors for the event include The Kidney Group, The Center for Vascular Access and Associates in Nephrology.

Dr. Gus Biscardi, nephrologist and ERKF board member, will appear on WFMJ-TV 21’s Community Connection at 6:30 a.m. this Sunday.
