Hopes and Dreams preschool hosts back-to-school party

Hopes and Dreams Preschool invited the community to get ready for school Aug. 23.

The back-to-school event offered an assortment of displays including Goodwill with eye screening, Next Level Marshall Arts, Safe Surf with tips on how to let your kids surf the internet safely, Akron Children’s Hospital, Small Smile Dental Clinic of Youngstown and The school staff offered ID kits, balloon art, face paintings and crafts for the children.

Making Kids Count donated school supplies including notebooks, pencils, crayons, markers, folders and glue, for children attending the event, and Antone’s provided food.

Jen Cosma, manager at Hopes and Dreams Preschool says the event is to help parents get ready for school.

“We try to make things easier for people in the community,” said Cosma.

Stephanie Olesko, administrator at Hopes and Dreams Preschool, said the school wants to help out any way they can.

“We care about the kids, community and families,” said Olesko. “This is something we can do to enrich lives.”
