Gas rate fixed at $4.59 for Youngstown residents

YOUNGSTOWN

City officials announced a 12-month fixed rate of $4.59 per Mcf of natural gas for members of the city’s Natural Gas Program through IGS Energy.

The new rate will start in November and run through the October 2014 billing cycle. It is for residents and small commercial-business customers. Rate-change notices from IGS Energy should be received by customers shortly.

Mcf is the volume of 1,000 cubic feet of natural gas and is used to measure natural-gas usage.
