3rd annual Idorafest is planned Saturday

The third annual Idorafest, hosted by the Idora Neighborhood Association and the Idora Neighborhood Block Watch, will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday in the 2600 block of McFarland Avenue, between Parkview and Woodford streets.

The event will include a festival and potluck meal to celebrate the accomplishments of the Idora community. Guests will meet their neighbors in the Idora community and celebrate the area’s ongoing revitalization efforts.

The festival will feature games, prizes, clowns making balloon animals, a Home Depot kid’s workshop, Home Depot at-home services, craft tables, cookie- decorating tables, 50-50 and basket auctions, vendors, and more.

For the meal, chicken, hamburgers, hot dogs, Bratwurst and beverages will be provided; guests are asked to take a side dish to participate in the potluck.

Sponsorships for the event were provided by the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Association, the city of Youngstown, Home Depot, Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, Councilman Paul Drennen, D-5th, and Big A’s Market.
