FARMER & THE CHEF

Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at Mill Creek MetroParks Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, Canfield. Come support agriculture programs for local youths and enjoy farm-fresh foods from several local farms and local chefs.

Autumn Flower Show

When: Saturday, noon- 5 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

What: Enjoy the autumn flower show presented by the Garden Forum of Greater Youngstown at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Way, Youngstown. Entries must be received the Saturday of the show between 8 and 10:30 am.

Garden Travel Tour

When: Sept. 25

What: Travel to the Toledo and Avon areas for the day to explore the Toledo Botanical Garden, Schedel Arboretum and Gardens, the Shoepfle Garden as well as the Miller Nature Preserve in Avon. Dinner stop will be at the Legacy Restaurant & Grille in Avon Lake.

Fee: $160; $125 for FFRG members.

Breakfast Botany: Maple

When: Sept. 27, 8:30-10 a.m. Brisk walk to see plants growing in the gardens. Return to the Garden Cafe.

Tremendous Trees

When: Sept. 28, 1:30- 3 p.m. Ages 6-11. Children will discuss the importance of trees and their uses, identify trees, and create their own tree field guide to take home.
