Girard man hospitalized after beating
GIRARD — Police are investigating a brutal beating that left a 29-year-old city man with severe injuries.
Amos J. Gramelt of Beechwood Avenue is in intensive care at St. Elizabeth Health Center with a fractured skull, bleeding in his brain and facial fractures.
His parents found him lying beside his car in their driveway around 1 a.m. Tuesday.
They told police he had been at the Wonder Bar on West Liberty Street, and employees cleaned him up and put him back in his car to drive home, a police report says.
Police received the complaint this morning.
