Ellsworth couple pleads not guilty in abuse case

YOUNGSTOWN — An Ellsworth couple accused of abusing the wife's brother pleaded not guilty at their arraignments today in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court.

Michael Wymer, 35, and his wife Heather, 30, both of North Palmyra Road, were each given a bond of $25,000 by Judge Maureen Sweeney.

Michael Wymer is accused of using BB guns and blow dart guns to discipline Heather's brother, Scott McCrory, 24.

An investigation began after McCroy ran away from home July 24. After he was found he told investigators about the police, sheriff's detectives said.
