Big 'G' will be back for Girard game Friday

GIRARD — Police still have no leads on who destroyed the big "G" sign at the high school football stadium.

The sign was destroyed around midnight Monday by what appeared to be two teenage boys, a police report says.

Schools superintendent David Capuzzello said the big "G" will be back this Friday for a home game.

He said several companies are donating time and money to build a new one.
