Police suspect home health-care provider of theft
LOWELLVILLE — Police believe that the home health-care provider for an 84-year-old Lowellville woman stole her credit card and used it for several unauthorized transactions totaling $555.
The 84-year-old woman had recently suffered a stroke, and did not report the theft until several weeks after the incident, which occurred in late August.
The stolen card was used at a number of local businesses, including the Walmart in Liberty and several gas stations in Youngstown.
Police have issued a warrant for the home health-care provider's arrest. She has since been fired from her position, and faces charges of unauthorized use of property and theft.
