Police cite speed as a factor in fatal accident

YOUNGSTOWN — Police say speed was a factor in one vehicle accident about 6:45 p.m. Sunday at Hunter Street and Indianola Avenue on the South Side that killed a passenger in a car.

Police said a car driven by Deone Cray, 19, was driving east on Indianola Avenue approaching Hunter Street when the car went out of control and collided with a vacant building.

Cray was treated for injuries at St. Elizabeth Health Center and released. The accident remains under investigation and charges are pending.
