Man taken to hospital after accident
Staff report
North Jackson
A man was taken to the hospital with nonlife- threatening injuries after he almost crashed into a vehicle that failed to yield on Mahoning Avenue at 7:25 p.m. Saturday.
John Reed of Diamond, Ohio, was driving his motorcycle eastbound on Mahoning Avenue when North Jackson resident Clark Biles, the driver of a Ford Mustang, failed to yield while turning into a private driveway, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Reed, who laid his bike down on the pavement to avoid hitting the Mustang, was taken to St. Elizabeth Health Center.
Biles was cited for failure to yield. He apparently did not see the motorcycle.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol, the North Jackson police and fire and Lane Life Trans responded to the crash.
