EAST LANSING, MICH. — Michigan State jumped out to a 21-3 first-quarter lead and rolled up 547 yards in a 55-17 rout of Youngstown State on Saturday at Spartan Stadium.

The Penguins (2-1) fumbled twice, had several dropped passes and managed just eight first downs.
