Little Falcons play Little Cards

The Austintown Little Falcons took on the Canfield Little Cardinals Sept. 8, at Canfield Cardinal stadium.

The 100 pound team defeated Canfield 20-0. The game was a good team effort as the Falcons played shutout defense and methodic offense to defeat the Cardinals and move to 3-0 on the season. John Cambert and Brody Pugh led the defense while Cameron Smith scored two touchdowns on offense and Terrance Pankey tallied for one touchdown and a conversion run for extra points.

The Flacons lost to the Cardinals 48-0 in the 120 pound game. The team fell to 0-3 on the season.

The 140 pound game saw another Cardinals victory with a score of 42-18. With the defeat the Falcons fell to 2-1 on the season.

The Falcons will host the Poland Little Bulldogs at Fitch Falcon Stadium this Sept. 15. The 100 pound game will start at noon, followed by the 120 pound game and then the 140 pound game.
