Cleanup planned
YOUNGSTOWN
A fall citywide cleanup sponsored by GreenYoungs-town Litter Control is planned for Saturday, and volunteers are needed to help beautify Youngstown by picking up litter, mowing lots, planting flowers, painting dilapidated fences and other projects.
Volunteers who have a project in mind but don’t have the tools to complete it are invited to borrow tools from GreenYoungstown. Call or send a message in advance to reserve tools.
Others who wish to help can be connected with groups doing work around the city. The Youngstown Street Department will be available all day to remove trash, brush and other debris from any cleanup project.
GreenYoungstown will be represented at the Covelli Centre between 8 a.m. and noon Saturday, and will provide free garbage bags, gloves, bottled water, litter pickers and other goods to volunteers.
For information, call 330-744-7526, or message GreenYoungs- town on Facebook.
