Akron Children’s Hospital, recognized as a one of the best places to work in northeast Ohio for the seventh consecutive year, will receive its NorthCoast 99 award at a Wednesday ceremony.

NorthCoast 99 is an annual recognition program that honors the 99 best workplaces in northeastern Ohio. The program was developed by the Employers Resource Council (ERC), a northeast Ohio professional organization dedicated to human resource practices, programs and services.

NorthCoast 99 designation is based on a detailed application process, and a survey of the top performing employees. The ERC examines seven fundamental characteristics that address quality: flexibility, opportunity, recognition, development, security, support and talent integrity.
