YOUNG CONFERENCE | Hundreds pack the Covelli Centre for shale show
YOUNGSTOWN — Hundreds have packed the YOUNG Conference at the Covelli Centre today.
Now in its third year, event organizers say today's conference appears on track to surpass the last two years in both attendance and vendor participation. Of particular satisfaction, said Eric Planey of the Youngstown-Warren Regional Chamber, are the industry insiders taking part in this year's expo.
Tony Paglia, vice president of governmental affairs at the chamber, said more service and logistics companies are taking place in this year's event.
That part of the industry will be more crucial as production continues across the Utica Shale. It also fits in with this year's theme of production and processing, which oil and gas companies require as they take more hydrocarbons from shale rock formations.
This is a developing story. Watch Vindy.com for details and see Friday's Vindicator for the complete story.
