Two students from Youngstown State University’s STEM College recently completed summer internships in South Korea with Power Plaza Co., a power- conversion technology company.

The initiative is part of a strategic business development campaign by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and Republican U.S. Sen. Rob Portman to attract South Korean investment in Northeast Ohio. The internships were designed to help Power Plaza advance electric-vehicleSFlbtechnology from several perspectives: personal mobility, commercial vehicle application and power- conversion technologies.

Job fair at center

Things Remembered Fulfillment and Distribution Center will host a job fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 19 at 500 S. Bailey Road.

The center has more than 300 full-time seasonal openings that pay $8 an hour as the custom engraver ramps up for the holiday season. Engraving, embroidery machine operators, warehouse, shipping and receiving positions are available, as well as those at the inbound call center. PUCO issues order

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has issued an order for Ohio electric and natural-gas utilities to reconnect or maintain service for customers who have been disconnected or are facing disconnection.

The winter-reconnect program allows customers who are disconnected or are facing disconnection to restore or maintain service if they pay the amount owed or $175, whichever is less.

Customers who have questions about the PUCO winter-heating season reconnect program may call the PUCO at 800-686-7826.
