Renovations slated for new inmate holding area
POLAND
The Mahoning County commissioners this morning approved a $352,000 contract with Murphy Contracting Co. of Youngstown to perform renovations for a new inmate holding area in the county courthouse.
They also approved an $1,875 contract with Bowman Appraisal Services to perform appraisals in connection with the creation of a roundabout (traffic circle) at Mathews and Sheridan roads in Boardman.
The commissioners voted to close Kirk Road between Lipkey and Gault roads in Jackson Township on Tuesday and Wednesday for a culvert replacement.
Today’s meeting was at Poland Township Hall.
The commissioners’ next meeting will be at 10 am. Sept. 20 in the county courthouse basement.
