Indie-rock artist Matthew Mayfield will perform a free show at The Hub, inside Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University, at 8:30 tonight. JD Eicher will open the students-only show with a solo acoustic performance at 7:30 p.m. A valid YSU ID is required for entry. The Alabama-based Mayfield is touring in support of his new EP, “Irons in the Fire.” Eicher and his band, the Goodnights, released their latest album, “Into Place,” this week and will play at the Magic Tree in Boardman on Friday night.
