Three communities review idea of joint police force
HUBBARD
The idea of a joint police force including Hubbard, Hubbard Township and Brookfield leaves many unanswered questions, police chiefs, union representatives and government officials said.
The YSU Center for Urban and Regional Studies, which performed a study for the three government entities, presented its results at a meeting this morning in Hubbard.
The bottom line, say officials, is to make sure a consolidation will save money but still keep residents and police officers safe.
The YSU study panel will consider questions and concerns for the next 10 days, then will issue a final report next month.
