Woman suffers broken arm, laceration in domestic dispute
GIRARD — A domestic violence situation resulted in a woman driving herself to the hospital with a broken arm and a severely lacerated leg.
The assault happened at a residence on East Main Street late Sunday night, police said.
The woman told police she had an argument with her boyfriend, and he grabbed her arm and they struggled. He knocked a lamp over on her, which cut her leg. She bandaged her leg and drove to St. Elizabeth Health Center, where the cut required 27 stitches.
Police said charges against the boyfriend, who left the house, are pending.
