Woman and loss prevention officer mix it up

Boardman police are investigating who tried to steal a $500 Margarita mixer from Kohl’s Department Store around 4:17 p.m. Monday.

A loss prevention officer at the store saw a woman in her 30s pick up the mixer and exit the store, according to a police report.

Loss prevention approached the woman as she walked out, and asked for her to go back in and pay for it. The woman refused, and fled after the loss prevention officer was able get the mixer off of her, according to a police report.

The suspect fled the parking lot in a Dodge Stratus.
