Austintown AARP 4339 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Grace Lutheran Church, 162 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown. The speaker will be Cynthia Mitchell of Salem Visiting Nurses Association. Blood pressure, pulse and oxygen screenings will be available at noon. Dues of $5 will be collected for 2014. Members should take local and national membership cards. Refreshments will be served. Canfield AARP 3104 will meet at 1 p.m. Monday at the Canfield Presbyterian Church for a covered dish picnic. Members whose last names begin with A through H are asked to take a casserole and I through Z, a salad. Also take serving utensil and table service. Beverages and desserts will be furnished. Blood pressure screening will be available from noon to 12:45 p.m. There will be a board meeting at 10 a.m. Sept. 16 at Canfield Presbyterian Church. There will be a bus trip Sept. 17 to the Allegheny Forest in Pennsylvania and the Kinzua Dam to view elk herds, watch a film and take a wagon ride. Call 330-533-4413. Girard Oldtimers has changed its meetings to noon the third Tuesday of every month. The next meeting will be at noon Sept. 17 at Lamancusa Restaurant in Girard.

Golden Pillars will meet at noon Tuesday at the St. Mary Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., after an 11 a.m. liturgy. Mary Novak will preside.

J.C. Penney Retirees will meet for lunch at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Denny’s in Boardman. All Penney’s retirees are welcome.

Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club will meet from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played, and Jean Waters will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided.
