Friends sponsor auction for Children’s Aid Society

NANCY URCHAK | THE VINDICATOR Friends of the Children’s Aid Society of Mercer County are sponsoring a basket auction from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 14 at Sharon VFW Post 1338, 439 E. State St., Sharon, Pa. (across from Daffin’s Candies). Holding baskets for the auction, from left, are Betty Smith, Carol Clark, Joan Foster, Shirley Young and Phyllis Thompson. The cost of $3 includes 25 auction tickets, a hotdog and a beverage. Drawings will be at 3 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Aid Society of Mercer County.
