Farmers National Banc Corp. invests in private equity fund

Farmers National Banc Corp., the holding company of Farmers National Bank, announced Thursday its investment in a private-equity fund for small businesses.

F.N.B. Corp., the parent company of First National Bank of Pennsylvania, announced the launch of F.N.B. Capital Partners — a small-business investment company fund licensed by the U.S. Small Business Administration, making it eligible for additional financing from the SBA.

Along with its initial capital raise and eligible leverage, the fund has deployable capital of $175 million.

Farmers National Banc Corp. joins several high net- worth individuals, a pension fund and five additional regional financial institutions as an investor.

The fund, which exceeded its initial target of $150 million, will be managed by Tecum Capital Management. It will target investment opportunities of up to $10 million across a broad spectrum of industries.
