Colts and Falcons play at Fitch Stadium

Austintown Little Falcons played the Austintown Colts Aug. 25 at Fitch Falcon Stadium.
The Falcons defeated the Colts 28-14 in the 100 pound game. Cameron Smith, Sammy Savo, Reuben Traylor Jr. and Terrance Pankey were key contributors to the Falcon victory. Head Coach Steve Ellis credited the win to “team play and a stellar effort by the offensive and defensive lines.”
The Colts toppled the Falcons 44-0 in the 120 pound game. The Colts scored early and often as they dominated the Falcons.
“We will work hard to correct our mistakes and raise our intensity level, this team is much better than what we showed today. The Colts played very well and we just could not stop them, today,“ Head Coach Antonio Page said.
C.J. Schisler, Ryan Gordon and Ja’ Reion Young played well in defeat.
In the 140 pound game, the Falcons defeated the colts 12-8 in a well played game by both teams.
The Colts led 8-6 with 40 seconds left until Michael Wilson broke off a 45 yard run, weaving through the Colt defense, breaking tackles and punctuating the run with a high step to pay dirt. The Falcon defense stayed strong against the Colts’ last drive to preserve the win.
Andrew Bretsik, Daniel Ifft, Christopher Scott, Donovan Jones and Logan Italliano all turned in highlight efforts for the Falcon Team.
The Falcons will travel to Struthers to take on the Wildcats Sept. 1. Game time is 12 p.m.
