Youngstown woman charged with child endangering
YOUNGSTOWN — Police arrested a woman on felony child-endangering charges Wednesday morning after her 3-year-old daughter followed her 8-year-old sister to school.
Police were called to Paul C. Bunn Elementary School, 1825 Sequoya Drive, where a bus driver had taken the child who had followed her older sister to the bus stop, reports said.
Police were also looking for the missing daughter of 23-year-old Reba Soldressen, who told officers she left her 3-year-old in the living room and baby asleep in a crib while she went to fill out a job application. She said she thought she would only be gone for 10 minutes, reports said.
A Mahoning County sheriff's deputy working school security brought the child to the mother, who was frantic looking for her daughter, reports said.
The children were given to their grandparents, who were to take them until the father got home from work, reports said.
Soldressen was taken to Mahoning County jail. She is expected to be arraigned Friday in Youngstown Municipal Court.
