Rogers man killed in Columbiana County traffic accident
LISBON — One person was killed and another flown by helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital after a one-vehicle rollover accident at 5:53 p.m. Wednesday on state Route 7 in Elkrun Township.
A news release from the Lisbon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol said a pickup truck driven by 43-year-old Jack E. Artup of Rogers was traveling on Route 7 when it went off the road, hit a guardrail, and then went off the road and down a hill before it hit a rock and several trees.
The truck overturned and rested on its roof, the release said. The passenger, Pamela S. Bradds, 45, also of Rogers, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. The patrol said seat belts were not used and alcohol use is suspected.
