MYCAP to offer Bank Night event

The Mahoning-Youngstown Community Action Partnership, 1325 Fifth Ave., is offering Bank Night from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. next Thursday.
Area business owners can discuss financial or growth needs for their business with a representative from Huntington Bank.
This is an opportunity for businesses to find out if they are eligible to receive the necessary working capital to help them grow.
Documents attendees should bring are: year-end 2012 financial statement; current financial statement as of July 2013; business tax returns for 2012; outlined plan of action; and how the financing will be spent.

Redman of Steelers at Giant Eagle

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Isaac Redman will make a special appearance at the Boardman Community Center Giant Eagle to mark its grand reopening.
Redman will greet customers and sign autographs from 4 to 5:30 p.m. today at the Boardman Giant Eagle, 1201 Doral Drive.
The remodel features a new cafe, new prepared-food offerings, a hot bar and a salad bar.

Champion Convenient Mart will have a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. Friday at 4853 Mahoning Ave.
The store offers groceries, cigarettes, beer, wine and other staples.
Handle allergies at Urgent Care

Hometown Urgent Care, inside the CVS Pharmacy at 1305 Boardman-Poland Road, will begin offering allergy services this month, including testing and allergy shots.
Urgent Care has locations across the country, but the company’s Boardman location was selected as one of eight pilot sites after it partnered with United Allergy Services.
The program comes in advance of fall. Boardman was selected as a pilot for the allergy services because of the high-level allergy needs in the region, according to a statement from the company.

First Place Bank will donate $2 to Akron Children’s Hospital for every “Kid’s Club” savings account opened between now and Nov. 30.
Kid’s Club accounts are available for children up to age 13. All 20 of the bank’s Mahoning Valley branches will participate.
