Police were called to Mabel Avenue for a report of a woman with a baseball bat. The juvenile told police he was riding his bike when the woman pulled up in her car and yelled an obscenity at him. The boy then punched her in the face, reports said.

Stephanie Brown, 32, then hit the boy in the leg with a bat, reports said. The boy was cited for assault because he admitted hitting Brown and was released to his mother, reports said. Brown was arrested on a charge of felonious assault and taken to the Mahoning County jail. She told police the boy’s family had been harassing her all summer.
