OARP elects new president

YOUNGSTOWN

Larry Moliterno, president and chief executive officer of Meridian Community Care on Meridian Road, recently was elected the third president of the Ohio Alliance of Recovery Providers.

The organization is a not-for-profit trade group the purpose of which is to increase access to addiction treatment for Ohio residents, seek additional funding resources, and provide a unified voice for addiction and recovery providers in the state.

The origins of OARP lie in the Ohio Chemical Dependency Legislative Advocacy Group, which was formed in 2006, with Moliterno as one of its founding members, to support legislative policies that facilitate patient access to mandated benefits for treatment services. In 2007, this group joined with others from across the state to form OARP.

Moliterno succeeds Eloise Traina of the Family Recovery Center in Columbiana.
