Scary weather delays some Ohio trick-or-treating

COLUMBUS (AP) — Dozens of Ohio communities are shifting or rescheduling their Halloween trick-or-treat hours because of the potential for some scary weather.

Forecasters say a storm system moving into western and central Ohio could bring rain and high winds tonight.

The city of Columbus was among at least 20 central Ohio communities that moved their trick-or-treat hours earlier in the evening and warned parents to keep an eye on incoming storms.

Cincinnati kept its hours at 6 to 8 p.m. today, but others in that area joined at least four dozen central and northwest Ohio towns in rescheduling for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. The city of Toledo was among those delaying their candy collection times until the weekend.
