Poland Lions Club’s Blanket of Kindness Drive will take place Friday through 17. The Lions are collecting new and gently used blankets for distribution to those in need in the community.

Blankets may be dropped off at the following locations: Friendly’s Restaurant, 3 W. McKinley Way; Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road; Home Savings and Loan, 202 S. Main St.; Walgreens, 30 W. McKinley Way; Poland Union Elementary School, 30 Riverside Drive; and Towne and Country Dry Cleaners, 9 Sheridan Road.

Poland Library, 311 S. Main St., will accept donations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9.

Monetary donations can be mailed to Poland Lions Blanket Drive, P.O. Box 5424, Poland, OH 44514.

The Lions Club meets the first Saturday of the month at 8:30 a.m. at Friendly’s. The club supports various community needs with emphasis on sight and preventable blindness.
