Jay Williams to speak at YMHA dedication Friday

YOUNGSTOWN — Former Mayor Jay Williams, who is now deputy director of the U.S. Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, will be the keynote speaker at the 10 a.m. Friday dedication of the Village at Arlington.

The ribbon-cutting will be at the village’s community clubhouse, 516 Griffith St.

The 120-apartment village replaced the last remnants of the 1938-vintage Westlake Terrace housing project, which was one of the oldest public-housing developments in the country.
