Boardman man faces burglary, breaking and entering charges

A township man has a hearing at 5:30 p.m. today in Mahoning County Area Court here on charges of aggravated burglary and breaking and entering.
Patrick Altier, 25, of Cathy Ann Drive, is accused of breaking into a house on Glenwood Avenue, police said.
A 43-year-old man came back to his home at 11:40 a.m. Tuesday and heard someone in the upstairs.
The man told police he went upstairs and discovered Altier in his son’s bedroom closet, according to a police report.
When the homeowner asked Altier what he was doing, Altier replied, “I am in the wrong house,” according to the police report.
The homeowner dialed 911 as Altier left the house.
Police later found Altier hiding in a shed in the yard of a Hitchcock Road home.
The victim identified Altier as the man who was in his house.
A gold chain, earrings and a narcotic pill were found on him.
He was taken to Mahoning County jail.
