Suspended Pa. teacher facing more federal porn charges

ERIE, Pa. (AP) — A suspended Pennsylvania teacher awaiting trial on a fondling charge in state court has now been charged with even more federal child pornography counts.

A grand jury indictment was unsealed in June charging 43-year-old David Montgomery with creating the porn in 2005 and possessing it until April when his home was searched.

Now the Erie Times-News reports federal prosecutors in Erie have filed more charges stemming from the same time period. The new charges involve boys born in 1995 and 2002, and don’t specify whether either was allegedly victimized in the earlier counts.

Montgomery has been suspended from Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy since he was charged with molesting a boy who was in his home in 2010. Montgomery was acquitted of those charges in May, but is awaiting trial on new allegations leveled by another boy in April.
