Nowadays, almost every TV show airs a spooky episode in late October. Here are five classic Halloween episodes from the past:

v “The Honeymooners” (Oct. 31, 1953): In this sketch that aired on “The Jackie Gleason Show,” Ralph deliberately ruins his tuxedo for a Halloween party at the bus company, not realizing that it’s not a costume party.

v “The Beverly Hillbillies” (Oct. 31, 1962): The homesick Clampetts go door-to-door to meet their neighbors. Of course, they have no idea that it’s Halloween.

v “The Addams Family” (Oct. 30, 1964): On the night of the clan’s favorite holiday, two bank robbers decide to hide out at the Addams home.

v “Gilligan’s Island” (March 24, 1966): This episode didn’t air on Halloween, but it should’ve: A man dressed as a ghost tries to scare the castaways off the island.

v “The Brady Bunch” (Oct. 27, 1972): Mike and Carol make the kids promise not to scare each other anymore. So instead they conspire to scare Alice.

“law & order: SVU” (9 p.m., NBC): Billy Porter, a recent Tony winner for his role in “Kinky Boots,” guest stars as a singing coach and reality TV star who is accused of sexually abusing a student.

Animal Charity readies Fur Ball

Youngstown

Animal Charity will mark its 50th anniversary at the Fur Ball from 7 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the B&O Station, 530 Mahoning Ave. Entertainment will include live music by the Fringe. There also will be a photo booth, food provided by local restaurants, raffles and auctions with prizes. Tickets are $15 (two for $20) and can be purchased at Animal Charity, 4140 Market St., Boardman, or at the door.

Youth group offers ‘Saga Continuum’

COITSVILLE

Revolution Youth Group of Victory Christian Center, 3899 McCartney Road, will present “The Saga Continuum,” a multi-sensory production, at 7 p.m. tonight, Saturday and Sunday. “Saga,” which uses several forms of dramatic arts and special effects, journeys through time to a world of danger, wonder and redemption. It will be performed by area teenagers. Admission is free. Call 330-536-2127.
