A summary of criminal activity in the city of Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

Oct. 18

Warrant: Police arrested Wendell Perry, 53, of Fairfax Street, Youngstown, on a warrant for failure to appear in Canfield Mayor’s Court.

Oct. 27

Drug abuse: Police arrested Damon Phelps, 37, of Sampson Drive, Liberty, on drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia charges.

AUSTINTOWN

Oct. 21

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Kati Tarr, 25, of North Pleasant Street, Niles, for possession of marijuana after her arrest in the township.

Counterfeit currency: Counterfeit money was passed at Taco Bell, 4523 Mahoning Ave.

Vehicle theft: A 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of New Road.

Fraud: A total of $25 in unauthorized charges were made to an account from the owner of a home in the 500 block of Impala Drive.

Lost or stolen property: Lottery tickets were lost or stolen at Express Gas, 3670 S. Meridian Road.

Attempted burglary: A window screen was pried open and a window cracked at a home in the 100 block of North Beverly Avenue.

Criminal damaging: Damage to a vehicle’s windshield was reported at a home in the 10 block of Idlewood Road.

Theft: A credit card was stolen and charges were made to an account of the owner of a home in the 2000 block of Vollmer Drive.

Obstructing official business: Police arrested David McGouldrick, 26, of South Dunlap Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of obstructing official business.

Oct. 22

Menacing by stalking: A male was calling and following an ex-girlfriend who lives in an apartment in the 500 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: Money was taken by an ex-employee at Industrial Chemical Cleaning, 73 Maple Ave.

Theft: Medication was taken from a home in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.

Telecommunications harassment: Telecommunications harassment was reported at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road.

Warrant: Police arrested James Martin, 35, of South Davis Street, Girard, on a warrant for complicity.

Warrant: Police arrested Colleen Hurst, 45, of Lancaster Drive, on a warrant for misuse of 911 emergency-call system.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Robert Watson, 23, of South Main Street, Austintown, on charges of drug abuse of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Drug offense: Police arrested Constance Ponsaa, 28, of Boardman-Canfield Road, Apt. 39B, Boardman, on a charge of possession of numerous pills.

Oct. 23

Theft: A jewelry box was stolen from a home in the 3000 block of Edinburgh Drive.

Burglary: Damage to a door knob and frame was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Patricia Avenue, but there was no entry.

Theft: A cellphone was reported stolen at Subway, 1600 S. Raccoon Road.

Oct. 24

Burglary: An apartment was entered in the 4000 block of Rhode Island Drive, and a Playstation game console, controllers, watches and other items were taken.

Recovered property: Clothing was recovered at the Hampton Inn, 880 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Oct. 25

Fraud: A woman received a $3,000 check that was bogus at a home in the 4000 block of Kirk Road.

Counterfeit currency: Two counterfeit $20 bills were passed at Cellular Connection, 5507 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Two truck batteries were stolen from a vehicle at Plytrim, 550 N. Meridian Road.

Identity theft: A bogus credit card was used to charge $508.72 to the owner of a home in the 6000 block of Fairview Road.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Brett Nickerson, 20, of Laurie Drive, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Oct. 26

Theft: A handgun, shotgun and ammunition were stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 3000 block of New Road.

Theft: Two 18-packs of Budweiser were stolen at Conroy’s Express, 3670 S. Meridian Road.

Theft: A 24-pack of Budweiser was stolen from Shell/True North, 4200 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A laptop was stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Warwick South.

Menacing: A threatening phone call was reported at a home in the 4000 block of Woodridge Drive.

Criminal damaging: Sugar was put into a gas tank of a vehicle parked at a home in the 100 block of North Roanoke Avenue.

Oct. 27

Theft: Police issued a summons to Justin Majernick, 25, of Elvira Drive, McDonald, on charges of theft and drug possession, and David Goodrick, 26, of Lake Shore Terrace, Warren, for possession of marijuana paraphernalia and theft. Both men walked out on a $25.32 bill at Denny’s, 4927 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: A JVC receiver was taken from a home in the 70 block of South Roanoke Avenue.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Adam Harrold, 33, of Adelaide Avenue, Warren, on a charge of possession of marijuana.
