Men with prior OVI convictions arrested
LISBON
Troopers with the Lisbon post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrested two men over the weekend who have multiple convictions for operating a motor vehicle under the influence.
A news release from the post said Donald A. Ross Jr., no age given, of Wellsville, was pulled over at Y and O Road in Columbiana near state Route 267 for a lane violation and arrested on charges of OVI, possession of marijuana, wearing no seat belt and having an open container. He was arraigned Monday in East Liverpool Municipal Court. He has six prior OVI convictions.
About 11:20 p.m. Saturday, Jeffrey L. Reynolds, also of Wellsville, was stopped at County Road 417 and Township Road 900 for driving left of center and was arrested on charges of OVI and a warrant for failure to appear on a previous OVI charge. He was arraigned Monday in Lisbon Municipal. He also has six prior OVI convictions, according to the patrol release.
Public meeting set

The Mahoning Valley Organizing Collaborative will welcome more than 300 local residents for a public meeting, Banking on Change, at 6:30 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave.
Banking on Change will celebrate past neighborhood stabilization work, which has lead to several successful campaigns, including code enforcement for demolition; the establishment of the Mahoning County Land Bank; and most recently the implementation of foreclosure bonds in Youngstown.
MVOC leaders will ask Mahoning County Prosecutor Paul J. Gains and members of Youngstown City Council to advance the neighborhood agenda through commitment to action on vacant properties, jobs and more.
Woman arrested on two warrants

Township police arrested a Niles woman on two warrants Sunday.
Makisha Howell, 38, of North Arlington Avenue, is charged with misuse of a credit card, a misdemeanor offense, and receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony according to a police report. In May, a Youngstown woman told police someone stole her bank card and used it multiple times at the Boardman Walmart. Altogether, almost $300 was spent with the woman’s bank card at Walmart, according to a police report. Police believe Howell is the person suspected of using the card. She will be arraigned on the charges this morning in Mahoning County Area Court here.
