Dr. Gregory S. Huang, a trauma surgeon at St. Elizabeth Health Center, is the featured speaker at Youngstown Area Ostomy Support Group meeting from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at HM Home Care, 979 Tibbetts-Wick Road.
Meetings of the Youngstown Area Ostomy Support Group, which are on the second Tuesday of each month alternating between Humility of Mary Health Partners’ HM Home Care office in Girard and St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, are open to the public. Free screenings for prostate cancer
LISBON
Humility of Mary Health Partners Cancer Centers, Man Up Mahoning Valley, NEO Urology and HMHP Development Foundation are offering free prostate- cancer screenings from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 6 at St. George Parish, 271 W. Chestnut St.
The free screening programs are part of an ongoing effort to reduce the number of men in the Mahoning Valley who die from prostate cancer. Screenings include a digital rectal exam and prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood draw. Man Up Mahoning Valley recommends annual prostate- cancer screenings for every man 40 and older.

Six-week program on heart disease

Caregiver program
NEW CASTLE, PA.
Jameson Hospice of Lawrence County, supported in part with a grant from the Hospice Education Institute, will host its next caregivers support program, “It’s Your Turn: A Day of Care for Caregivers,” from noon to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 7 in the South Campus Conference Center, 1000 South Mercer St.
This free event is open to all caregivers in the community. Because November is National Caregiver Month, Jameson Hospice will recognize caregivers with massages, manicures, entertainment, relaxation, Tai Chi and gifts. Dorothy Vandusen of Grand Master Pennsylvania Martial Arts Academy will speak about the importance of caregivers caring for themselves.

On Wednesday, Dr. Mark Gardner will offer an information session about developments in total knee replacement from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Womancare Center at UPMC Horizon, 875 N. Hermitage Road.
