Public invited to installation of YSU’s eighth president
YOUNGSTOWN
Randy J. Dunn will be formally installed as the eighth president of Youngstown State University during a ceremony at 1 p.m. Friday in Beeghly Center on the YSU campus.
The ceremony is open to the public. Those planning to attend should RSVP to the Office of Alumni and Events Management at 330-941-3497. A reception will follow the ceremony.

Making remarks at the ceremony will be Dunn; John Carey, chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents; Sudershan Garg, chairman of the YSU Board of Trustees; Ikram Khawaja, YSU provost and vice president for Academic Affairs; and Catie Carney, president of the YSU Student Government Association.
‘Living Legend’ set at Powers Auditorium

Benjamin Carson, a world-renowned physician, professor and author deemed a “Living Legend” by the Library of Congress, presents the first annual Centofanti Symposium at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in Powers Auditorium in downtown Youngstown.
The symposium is free and open to the public, but tickets are mandatory for admission. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis Nov 4, 5 and 6, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Information and PC Lab in Kilcawley Center on the campus of Youngstown State University. The Centofanti Symposium was established at YSU to bring outstanding speakers to the university and the community, with the goal of raising consciousness about the challenges facing vulnerable groups in society
Body discovered in Columbiana County
BUTLER TOWNSHIP
The Columbiana County Homicide Task Force is investigating after a body was found in the township Saturday afternoon.
According to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, the body was discovered off Hartley Road around 2 p.m. The sheriff’s office has not released an identity.
Gov. Kasich in Valley today for dedication
NEW MIDDLETOWN
Gov. John Kasich will attend today’s dedication of the $375 million Hickory Bend Cryogenic Processing Plant on South State Line Road in New Middletown.
NiSource Midstream Services formed a partnership with the exploration and production company Hilcorp Energy last year to construct the facility. The project is nearly complete.
The facility consists of 55 miles of wet-gas gathering lines in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania where Hilcorp has been actively drilling, or preparing to drill.
