New Air Force Reserve recruitment center opens at air base

VIENNA — The Air Force Reserve’s new $600,000 regional recruiting center, located west of and just outside the main gate at Youngstown Reserve Air Station, was unveiled today.

The new facility, added onto the base Visitor Center, provides easier access to the recruiting office while maintaining the security of the Air Force Reserve installation, said Senior Master Sgt. Jo Ann G. Shaw, senior recruiter.

The air reserve station houses the 910th Airlift Wing and small Navy and Marine Corps contingents. Previously, the Air Force Reserve recruiting office was located east of and just inside the base’s main entrance for more than 30 years.
