Boardman police arrest Niles woman on receiving stolen property charge

BOARDMAN — Township police arrested a Niles woman on two warrants Sunday.

Makisha Howell, 38, of North Arlington Avenue, is charged with misuse of a credit card, a misdemeanor offense, and receiving stolen property, a fifth-degree felony according to a police report.

In May, a Youngstown woman told police someone stole her bank card and used it multiple times at the Boardman Walmart. Altogether, almost $300 was spent with the woman's bank card at Walmart, according to a police report.

Police believe Howell is the person suspected of using the card. She will be arraigned on the charges Tuesday morning in Mahoning County Area Court here.
