Killer sentenced to life

TIFFIN, Ohio

A man has been sentenced in northwest Ohio to life in prison for firing into his ex-girlfriend’s car, wounding her and killing her mother.

A judge in Tiffin sentenced 37-year-old Calvin Dixson on Friday for the aggravated murder of 50-year-old Lisa Stowers of Springfield and wounding her daughter.

The victims were attacked while in a car outside the house of the ex-girlfriend’s dying grandmother in Fostoria.
