The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced new and ongoing projects in the Mahoning Valley.

In Poland and Boardman, Tiffany Boulevard on the north side of U.S. Route 224 is closed for pavement reconstruction through early November. The detour is Route 224 to South Avenue to Doral Drive.

Drivers who use the I-680 southbound ramp to Route 224 west will stop at the intersection of Route 224 before making a right turn.

The ramp from I-680 northbound to Route 224 is closed through early November. The detour is Western Reserve Road to South Avenue.

Route 224 between I-680 and Tiffany Boulevard is reduced to one lane in each direction for roadway widening and interchange modifications. Expect delays.

In Campbell, U.S. Route 422 between state Route 616 and Struthers-Liberty Road is now open.

In Youngstown, Elm Street between Saranac Avenue and Tod Lane is closed through mid-November for a bridge replacement. The detour is Gypsy Lane to Fifth Avenue to Broadway Street.

In Beaver Township, lane restrictions are in place. State Route 46 under state Route 11 is reduced to one lane for bridge painting.

This restriction will remain in place through early November.

Route 11 over Calla Road and Route 11 over Route 46 have daily lane restrictions for bridge deck replacements.

In Green Township, Route 46 between Cook Road and West Middletown Road has lane restrictions for roadway widening.

In Canfield Township, Route 46 between Western Reserve Road and Leffingwell Road is closed through mid-November for a bridge replacement. The detour is Route 11 to Route 224 to Route 46/U.S. 62.

In Canfield, the following routes have lane restrictions for resurfacing: Route 224 from Route 62 to Talsman Drive; and Route 62 from Callahan Road to Scott Street.

In Trumbull County, state Route 46/169 over Mosquito Creek in Niles between Vienna Avenue and North Main Street is closed through early November for a bridge replacement. The detour is Interstate 80 to U.S. Route 422.

In Mecca and Greene townships, Route 46 between state Route 88 and the Ashtabula County line has daily lane restrictions for resurfacing.

In Liberty and Hubbard townships, I-80 between state Route 193 and Mount Everett Road has lane restrictions for roadway resurfacing and bridge repairs. These restrictions will occur daily from 4 a.m. through 6 p.m.

In Bazetta, Warren and Howland townships, state Route 82 between state Route 5/Elm Street and Route 46 has daily lane restrictions for resurfacing.

In Mesopotamia Township, state Route 534 between state Route 87 and just south of the Ashtabula County line is closed through early November for roadway widening. The detour is Route 87 to state Route 45 to U.S. Route 322.
