Warren man may face charges after Boardman incident

BOARDMAN — An older man may face charges of theft and assault after an incident at a Boardman Giant Eagle.

An employee accused the man of taking a large stack of paper bags and then assaulting him when he tried to stop him on Thursday.

The employee told police the man grabbed his arm and said "I am taking these," according to a police report.

Police tracked down the 64-year-old Warren man via a license plate number, but no charges have yet been filed against him.
