ASSOCIATIONS

American Association of University Women, Youngstown Branch, will meet at 10 a.m. Nov. 2 in the gathering room of Park Vista, 1216 Fifth Ave., Youngstown. After a continental breakfast and business meeting, Michael Hripko will speak about “What’s New at YSU STEM.” A YSU basket, donated by Denise Walters Dobson, will be auctioned. Mahoning Retired Teachers Association will meet Nov. 13 at Antone’s Banquet Center, 8578 Market St., Boardman. A social hour will be at 11 a.m., and lunch will be served at 11:45. Linda Vuletich will preside. Mike Kubitza and Milton Kochert will present a veterans recognition program followed by election of officers and the presentation of scholarships to YSU School of Education students. Nonperishable food items, aftershave, toothpaste, toothbrushes, assorted greeting cards, stamps, socks, underwear, pajamas, slippers, robes, sweatshirts, gloves and hats will be collected for the veterans home. Mill Creek Chapter of the American Business Women’s Association will meet at 6 p.m. Nov. 12 at Rachel’s, 54 Westchester Drive, Austintown, to celebrate its 51st anniversary. A buffet dinner featuring Caesar salad, lasagna, chicken francaise and dessert will be served. Entertainment will be provided by the Austintown Fitch High School Show Choir. Canfield Republican Women’s Club luncheon is set for noon Nov. 6 at A La Cart Catering, Lisbon Street in Canfield. The menu will consist of cranberry gelatin, turkey with dressing, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie. The cost is $12 per person. D.A.R.E.
