100 pound Falcons defeat Spartans

The 100 pound Little Falcons defeated the Boardman Spartans 8-0 in the Semi-final Playoff Game Oct. 20 at Canfield Bob Dove Stadium.

The Falcons advanced to the Y.A.C. League 100 pound Super Bowl by a score of 8-0 as Cameron Smith powered his way to pay dirt with 3:05 left in the contest which was dominated by tough defense. Smith then followed up with the conversion score as the Falcons turned the tables on the Spartans, the only team to defeat the Falcons in the regular season.

A total team victory as Brody Pugh and the offensive line displayed great blocking while Terrance Pankey, Emmanuel Ellinos and Smith all recovered Boardman fumbles to block Spartan offensive progress.

Stand out performances were also turned in by Kevin Sawyers, Angelo Sauceman, Kyle Mosser, Aiden St. Clair, John Cambert and Sammy Savo. Ashton Green and Ryan Gordon a 120 pound player were special captains with injuries who supported the Falcons from the sideline.
