Pa. man who lost eye from stun gun arrested in Mo.

MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) — A western Pennsylvania man who lost an eye two years ago when he was hit by a barb from a police stun gun has been arrested on a fugitive warrant in Missouri, where police said his wife was shot with a stun gun when she allegedly interfered in his arrest.

Michael Mondo, 54, of Meadville, was arrested about 1:30 a.m. Monday at a hotel in Lebanon, Mo., on a warrant for leaving Pennsylvania. He was charged in other cases there this month, The Meadville Tribune reported today.

Police in Meadville charged him with drunken driving Oct. 11, only to learn about two other incidents after he posted bail to get out of jail. Mondo was accused of threatening to set fire to an apartment patio Oct. 4 and trying to run over a man outside the same apartment Oct. 10.

When Mondo didn’t show up for an interview with police, Meadville also filed charges in those two cases but learned he might have left the state.

Police were able to trace Mondo to Lebanon, Mo., where officers found him and his wife, Margaret, 54, in a hotel room after they returned from drinking at a bar, according to a criminal complaint filed by the police in Missouri.
