To raise funds for local charities, golfers competed when The Flynn Automotive Group sponsored its Choose Your Charity Golf Outing on Sept. 29 at Diamond Back Golf Course.

Two golfers received a $5,000 donation to the charity of his or her choice. Ron Fox of Hubbard and his daughter Augusta chose Angels for Animals, a rescue group.

Julie Furtaw of Canfield divided her $5,000 prize between the Youngstown Hearing and Speech Center and The Paisley House. The center serves those with communication challenges, and Paisley House is an assisted living residence.

Two winners will receive new cars with a two-year lease. Tom Hartman of Boardman won the use of a Ford Fusion, and Rick Henneman of Boardman won the use of a Ford Focus. Flynn Automotive donated the leases.
